This is the first performance of a multi-year exploration of the life cycles and migration of the painted-lady butterfly. The first installment is an experimentation in using puppetry to show the butterfly’s story through the lens of an individual desperately searching to learn about making change, both in themselves and the world around them.

A bamboo pole, a parachute, a flightless creature.

An egg, a cocoon, a caterpillar and a butterfly. And another, and another and another.
